We know all writers need acknowledgment and encouragement. What better way to challenge yourself as a writer than to strive to get your work published? Society of Young Inklings offers publishing programs that follow the traditional editorial process of publishing a book. Some less formal publishing opportunities are also available here on our website.
The Inklings Book Writing Contest
What if you could be a published author right now? Our Inklings Book Contest offers young writers in grades 3-9 the opportunity to publish a short story or poem. If your work is accepted, you will have the chance to mentor with a professional writer for two one-on-one sessions. The result? Your story or poem in print! Learn more.
Your Name in Ink: Editorial Mentorship for Novelists
This 6-9 month program requires discipline, motivation and the ability to work independently. Upon acceptance, you will be paired with a professional writer who will mentor you through the process of revising, editing, formatting and printing or publishing a book. Learn more.
The Ink Splat: Idea Sparking Challenges
At Society of Young Inklings, we believe in playing our way to the page. Each Ink Splat contains a new playful activity. Your submission could be featured next! Check out the current Ink Splat here.
