Have you entered the Inklings Book Contest yet? We hope you did and if you haven’t had a chance to, join us!

We can’t wait to pass on encouragement from one of our author friends, Anne Ursu, as you pour so much into your stories and poems right now. Her latest book, a magical mystery, is called The Lost Girl.

Anne wants you to know:

“You can be an author. When I was growing up it’s what I wanted to do more than anything, and now I’m doing it. You’re doing the best thing you can now, which is to keep writing.”

She also shares, “When I was eleven, I told my mom that I wanted to write books like the ones I was reading someday…I did write adult books for a bit. Now I write for young readers, because they are the best.”

Never give up on your dreams, Inklings!
