Since it’s the Inklings Book Contest season, one of our author friends and mentors, Rebecca Behrens, author of the realistic survival story Alone in the Woods, shares her inspiring thoughts as you get closer to the finish line writing your stories and poems. Rebecca observes:

“As a writer-mentor of previous contests, I’ve been taken to the swashbuckling past, the realistic present, and the space-age future, through charming forests and fantastic kingdoms–and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Inklings’ stories are funny, heartfelt, quirky, and moving, and always full of lots of creativity and big ideas. I can’t wait to see which adventures you take your readers on this year. Bon voyage!”

Inklings, don’t be afraid to unleash your imagination and see where it takes you!
