An Interview with Author, Sean Nesamoney

Sean and BookWhat was your favorite part of the Your Name In Ink process?

I liked first deciding to write the book, because this was a really good opportunity for me to use my creative mind and come up with bogus ideas that I could just jot down, and maybe take further into a whole story.

What did you learn about yourself during the publishing process?

Before, I used to really stick to one idea, and I learned that I could come up with various ideas and take one of them and build it – like taking a seed, and building it into a whole tree that can expand into branches.

How do you think your writing improved?

I think it has improved because I knew this would be published and I really wanted to try my best. So, every time I write now, I really try my best to make it as juicy and hearty as I can so that I can really express who I am when I’m writing.

What advice would you give to someone going through this process for the first time?

I wouldn’t worry about it, just come up with various crazy ideas because you can see where they go at the end – you can look back and say, “I never wanted this idea at first!” but you’ll see how far it has come. So just be yourself as you’re writing this, and write about whatever you want. Just make it you!
