SHow and Tell Workshop

Come share your Summer Passion Projects with us!

Join us on Thursday, September 2nd at 4:15 PM PT for our free and open-to-all Summer Passion Projects Show and Tell Workshop!

Step One: Register for the Workshop 

The first thing you need to do is register for the workshop! Even if you’re not planning to share, we’d still love for you to attend.
This workshop is live and interactive, so we encourage you to turn on your camera on take part during the live workshop. 

Note: Current Drafting Workshop members do not need to pre-register to attend.

Step Two: Prepare to Share Your Project

 If you would like to share your summer passion project, your next step is to prepare to share it! During the workshop, Naomi will show a slide about each project being shared. Your job is to create that slide. Check out the video to the right for more details on how to use the free tool Canva to create your slide.

You don’t have to use Canva if you’d rather use another image editor. Whatever program you use, please take note of the slide requirements below.

Here are the slide requirements:

  • The dimensions must be 1920 px x 1080 px (In Canva, select Presentation Template)
  • Include the title of your work (if you’ve titled it yet)
  • Include “By [Your Name]” on the slide 
  • Include three key facts about your work or a quote about something you learned this summer while writing your piece.
  • Include an image on your slide. This could be a picture of you, a cover image you’ve designed for your work, or a picture of something that represents your work.

Your project does not have to be complete in order for you to share it. We’d love to see and celebrate what you’ve been working on, no matter what stage of development it’s in.

Slides are due Tuesday, 8/31/21.

 

Step Three: Submit your Slide

Okay, so you’ve got your slide and you’re ready to share. Yay!

Make sure you have your parent or guardian’s permission to publicly share about your work during our show-and-tell workshop. Then, fill out the form below and attach your slide in JPEG or PNG format.
