Join the Inklings Summer Squad!

The Summer Squad is a light, opt-in way to stay connected with the Inklings community over Summer 2026.

Summer Squad members help keep the creative energy of the Inkwell alive by participating in the Writers Room and Inkwell, encouraging other writers, sharing ideas, and helping shape the culture of the community in small but meaningful ways.

This summer, we’ll also be experimenting with some new collaborative and story-forward elements inside the Inkwell world, including recurring characters, community lore, interactive experiences, creative challenges, and other playful ideas that emerged during our end-of-year conversations.

The Summer Squad is intentionally flexible and low-pressure. Some members may simply stay active and engaged in the community, while others may choose to contribute ideas, collaborate on small creative projects, help develop lore/worldbuilding elements, create visuals or prompts, test interactive experiences, or help bring special summer events to life.

The group will stay connected primarily through email over the summer, with a few optional check-ins and collaborative opportunities along the way.

We’ll also likely hold two optional Summer Squad gatherings:

• one to brainstorm and explore ideas together,
• and one closer to our summer takeover/event to share progress and prepare.

At the end of June, July, and August, Summer Squad members will receive a brief reflection/check-in form to help us stay connected, gather feedback, and continue shaping the experience together.

Most importantly, the Summer Squad is meant to be a creative playground: a space to experiment, collaborate, imagine, and help our creative community thrive over the summer months.
